The Skimmer newsletter has been an important part of keeping our members informed about chapter activities for over 40 years. Published quarterly, The Skimmer includes chapter news and events, rare bird reports for Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, field trip reports, and birding and conservation-focused pieces written by our members. Although news arrives faster than it once did via email and social media, The Skimmer provides members with a unique space to read and write enlightening, informative birding- and conservation-focused articles, reviews, and stories.
