SHORELINE PARK BIRD WALK

Francis M. Weston Audubon Society (FMWAS) offers regularly scheduled activities:
– Field Trips
– Bird Walks
– Birds and Brew
– Monthly programs

There are several great ways to keep up with all FMWAS activities:
– Check the Event Calendar on the homepage,  https://fmwaudubon.org/
– Follow us on Facebook, https://www.Facebook.com/FMWAudubonPensacola/
– Follow us on Instagram, http://www.instagram.com/fmwaudubon/
– Refer to the current quarterly Skimmer newsletter, go to the Publications tab and select Skimmer Newsletter, https://fmwaudubon.org/publications/skimmer/
– Sign up to receive emails from the chapter, go to the Publications tab and select E-Letter, https://fmwaudubon.org/publications/e-letter/

As always, FMWAS pledges to never share your information outside FMWAS’ Board of Directors and will only share with you via email the Skimmer newsletter and pertinent information about FMWAS news, events, and schedule changes.

Encourage your friends, bird watchers, and nature lovers by passing along how they can learn about FMWAS activities.

Field trips, Bird Walks, and Birds and Brews are open to the public and free of charge, but contributions are appreciated. Please refrain from wearing scented cologne, perfumes, or aftershave on field trips. It distracts from the experience in nature, and some participants are highly sensitive to it.

All experience levels are welcome. Please bring your interest in birds and nature plus binoculars and/or a spotting scope on birding trips. On Bird Walks and Birds and Brew walks if you don’t have binoculars we may have a few ‘loaners’ available.

BIG LAGOON BIRD WALK

Sunscreen, insect protection, appropriate shoes, hat, water, and snacks or lunch are recommended on all trips. Cameras are optional.

Members and friends also participate in activities sponsored by the National Audubon Society, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and others. These include the Christmas Bird Count (CBC), Backyard Bird Count, Global Big Days, Breeding Bird Surveys, and more.

A number of volunteer activities are also available including leading a birding activity, offering to speak to garden and other clubs, representing FMWAS at a display table at an event, serving on one of our committees, or becoming a board member. Just jump in. Under the Activities tab, select Volunteer Opportunities. Volunteer
