One of hundreds of photos I took during the February birding trip to St. Marks NWR Feb. 13-16 with Jon Wilson. I like this photo because it is happenstance, good lighting, and a small bird often overlooked by those not really looking. I had seen this bird and was trying to get a good photo, but to no avail. Walking away to the parking lot, the sparrow suddenly appeared and it all came together in about 30 seconds before it was gone.
