Dear Francis M. Weston Audubon members and friends,
Reflecting on the past year, I am pleased to observe that we have provided our members with an invigorating and energetic schedule of events and activities.
- We welcomed six new members to our Board of Directors.
- We continue holding our monthly Membership Meetings with programs and guest speakers.
- We conducted two New Birder classes for 25 students, and the Education Committee expanded the program to permit members to sit in on select lectures if vacancies occur.
- We provided a full set of Field Trips, Bird Walks, Birds and Brews, and Outreach events while modernizing the activity registration method for our participants.
- We maintained the plantings at Bruce Beach through this summer and fall thanks to the diligent efforts of the Center Committee volunteers, replanted lost plants this spring, and improved access through the site.
- Thanks to the work of our Publications, Publicity, and Website committees, we have kept our members up to date. A monthly ‘News & Events’ email has been added to supplement our quarterly newsletter.
- The Outreach Committee produced the ‘Northwest Florida Community Birding Guide’ to introduce birdwatching and highlight local places where people can go birding.
The Board of Directors is gratified that many of you were able to participate in one or more of these activities and have found increased value in your chapter membership. All of the above activities were only possible with your ongoing financial support. We are grateful and ask you to consider further supporting your chapter in your year-end giving. Thank you for your generosity and Good Birding!
Sincerely
Jim Brady – President
