The Francis M. Weston Audubon Society (FMWAS) is a chapter of the National Audubon Society and Audubon Florida serving Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Through advocacy, education, and conservation, our organization promotes the understanding and preservation of birds, other wildlife, and the environment that supports them. Our chapter is an all-volunteer organization supported by membership dues and charitable contributions.
Your donation to FMWAS is an investment in the preservation, conservation, and restoration of bird and wildlife populations and their habitats in Florida’s Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. We appreciate your interest in supporting our organization’s work.
Unrestricted donations will be used where contributions are most needed to support our organization’s work, as identified by the FMWAS Board.
A gift designated for Audubon Adventures supports our work providing environmental education materials to students, teachers, homeschool groups, and environmental education centers in our counties.

Audubon Adventures, a nationally recognized and science-based environmental education program for grades 3–5, has introduced children to nature, wildlife, and conservation for 38 years. Thanks to your support, FMWAS has provided this engaging curriculum to students in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, including homeschoolers.

Gifts for the FMWAS Motus Project will help our organization to install and maintain a Motus station in Santa Rosa and/or Escambia County. A Motus station houses one or more antennas used to detect radio signals from tagged wildlife, particularly birds, bats, and insects. This station will be one of thousands worldwide monitoring wildlife movement and the first of its kind in Escambia or Santa Rosa counties. For more information on Motus, visit https://motus.org/.
