January 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Thursday, January 25. 2018, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.:
We will watch a DVD by Judy Irving entitled “Pelican Dreams” rather than having a guest speaker. The setting for the 80 minute documentary is California and it begins with rescue of an injured brown pelican on the Golden Gate Bridge.
The narrator provides a great deal of information on the care and rehabilitation of injured pelicans, on their natural history, and on manmade problems such as pesticides, oil spills, and entanglement in fishing gear. Some of the photography is excellent. Reviews of the DVD are available on the internet.
