Beginner Birding Classes Offered by FMWAS in March 2020

Includes 2 evening classroom sessions (March 17 and 24) and a field trip (March 28).

These classes with a field trip are a wonderful oppor­tunity for individuals in the community to learn about birds in the Pensacola area.

The first class on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, covers birding basics (binoculars, field guides, birding ethics, etc.).

The second class, Tuesday, March 24, covers how to identify birds of the shoreline (sandpipers, herons, gulls, terns, ospreys, eagles, etc).

Classes will be held at the Pensacola Public Library downtown from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The field trip will be March 28, Saturday, at a time to be announced depend­ing on tides and other factors.

Jan Lloyd, biologist, archaeologist, long-time teacher and FM Weston Audubon member, is the instructor.

No prior experi­ence necessary. Binoculars and bird guides are available.
